Zte Mf30 Troubleshooting Problems

Hi I'm having so many issues with my brand new 'Skinny Ignite A462 mobile phone',as it's been showing this message ' Emergency Calls' on the bottom of my screen,now I've just about ready to throw in the Fire!!,as I've tried everything from: re-booting,removing my SIM card to even switching it on & off, & that still doesn't make a diffrence,I've taken it back to where I purchased it from & the person done something to it & then it cleared that message,but then later in the evening,You guest it 'The Lovely 'EMERGENCY CALLS ', came back on. So I'm so totally darn frustrated with all this. So I'm needing some help or advise.

Hi,I'm trying to help my mum set up an MF30 mobile broadband device with a prepaid simcard. She did the activation yesterday, and got the'your activation will be completed in the next 4 hours' email. 24hrs later, the device still won't play ball (the web interface lists the wan as disconnected, and the 3G/4G bit says 'Limited Service').

I was wondering if the issue was activation related, so I popped the sim into my phone. Once I supplied the pin, the phone seemed to have full internet access (yes I'd disabled my phone's wifi). Shortly after that, I got a couple of text messages, saying 'we've switched your pre-paid mobile to Telstra, please restart and visit telstra.com/hello'.The other wildcard is that the MF30 device has no battery in it - its being charged by USB only.Some questions:1) Based on the fact that my phone can use the SIM without any problems, can I assume that the sim is activated and fully functional, and that the problem is likely with the MF30?2) I haven't bound the SIM to my phone or anything like that by testing the SIM in my phone have I?3) Does the MF30 need a battery in it to function?
